I always was more of a dog lover... Dogs are more or less faithful, and think of you as a "member of the pack." Cats could possibly care less about you, and think they own you... Trust me, I know from experience... (Hey, where's my food, servant? When are you going to give me incessant attention and pampering, servant?)
And when they want attention, they don't give up until they get it... Or until you put them outside... ;o)
