Space Wolves - Battle Reports

Space Wolves allied Eldar
VS
The Lost and the Damned

2000 points

The allied forces received the first turn and proceeded to blast the foul horde from afar. Hounds and mutants fell in droves but were ignored by the rest of the horde as they shambled forward. The horde advanced with covering fire from the Basilisk hidden behind a hill.
The advance of the horde

The allied forces thinned the ranks of the foul horde with massed bolter and shuriken fire. Unexpectedly, the horde was reinforced with the summoning of two squads of Plague Bearers.
Plague Bearers proxied by Daemonettes! Plague Bearers proxied by Orks!

Having held their ground for so long, the Space Wolves finally sprang forward and engaged the foul horde as they finally advanced within charge range.
Space Wolves charge!

As the Space Wolves embroiled the entire front line of the mutant horde, the Eldar dealt with the flanking squads of Chaos Hounds and Spawns. A lucky shot from the Whirlwind destroyed the Basilisk. The mass melee continued on for two turns with the Venerable Dreadnought, Avatar and Wraithlord joining in.
The battle approached its climatic finale!

With almost all the remaining Chaos minions wiped out, all eyes were fixed upon the middle of the battle field. Sadly, the mighty Wolf Priest was finally succumbed to the weigth of numbers and fell in battle. With an anguished cry, the Greater Daemon of Nurgle finally decided to make a cameo appearance in the 5th turn of the battle and focused all its attacks on the Venerable Dreadnought. Incredibly, mighty Venerable dreadnought Harkon Stormfist, after having lost his close combat weapon to a lascannon shot and immobilised by the possessed Aspiring Champion survived the fury of the Greater Daemon of Nurgle! Tough to kill indeed.
The finale... the four heavy weights... (Greater Daemon proxied by the red Wraithlord)

Ah, the fickle powers of Chaos. The Greater Daemon of Nurgle finally made its appearance but was too late to impact the battle. With that, the game ended with the four heavy weigths dominating the battle field.
