My Wolves belongs to the Ravening Jaw Great Company. The official Wolf Lord according to the codex is Harald Deathwolf.
In my universe, it's the 41st millenium, the 13th Black Crusade has already taken place. Throughout the fierce battle that raged around the Eye of Terror, the Space Wolves together with other loyalist forces managed to put a blunt to Abaddon's ambition. Though Abaddon was not able to crush Cadia, other planetery systems in the surrounding space was lost, engulfed by the expanded Eye of Terror. During the bitter fighting upon Cadia, the Ravening Jaw led by Harald Deathwolf faced off against a World Eaters warband under the leadership of Vorkarx the Bloodied. Long ranged heavy support by the Long Fangs tore holes in the World Eaters lines as they rushed forward in their frenzied blood craze. Despite their heavy casualties, the World Eaters having passed the brink of reasoning in their blood lust crashed into the lines of the Space Wolves and ferocious close assault ensued. Quarter was neither given nor asked for there was none to offer. Harald Deathwolf fought his way through the press of enemies to fight against Vorkarx. It was a mighty battle as the mighty Wolf Lord squared off against the daemonically-enhanced Vorkarx. Harald Deathwolf managed to deal Vorkarx a killing blow with his Frost axe, but not before suffering multiple fatal wounds. In the aftermath, the World Eaters were wiped out to a man and the Space Wolves were victorious. Sadly, the Wolf Lord's wounds were many and deep. Thus it was, that the mighty Wolf Lord of the Ravening Jaw Great Company, Harald Deathwolf, passed from the realm of men, his deeds of might remembered by the Chapter's Rune, his name-stone in the Grove of Heroes, testimony of the courage and valour of mighty men. With the loss of their Wolf Lord. it was a pyrrhic victory for the Space Wolves. Without delay, for the enemies of disorder were still many and the circumstances pressing, a new Wolf Lord was selected. Unanimously declared by the Company's Wolf Guards, Bjern Broodmaw, became the next Wolf Lord. In honour of Harald Deathwolf, and given the current state of emergency, Bjern decided to keep the badge of the Ravening Jaw. To this day, Bjern Broodmaw continues to lead the Ravening Jaw Great Company to victory against the foes of the Imperium. |
