Space Wolves

This is the first army I've collected, and am still collecting, started when 3rd edition came out. However being a slow painter and not too motivated, my army is small, to say the least.

Since this is my first army, I stuck pretty rigidly to the codex and have a vanilla Space Wolves force without much theme. The Great Company I have chosen is the Ravening Jaw, led by Harald Deathwolf. The reason: the Great Company used to be called the Great Devourer in the 2nd edition codex, and I like Tyranids... Yeah, it's a lame reason, but I stick to my choices. My only gripe is that the Wolf Lord is already named. Well, I'll see if I can find some way about...

Painting-wise, I've stuck pretty rigidly to the codex too. Being a newbie, I need to follow a guide to hone my painting skills until the time I can stick out on my own. As a result, all my Wolves are painted with a shadow grey basecoat. Well, I like the darker tone over space wolves grey. I've based them all on snow terrain simply because when I started out, Games Workshop was still painting theirs grass, and I didn't want to follow suit. I think Wolves on snow look more cool.

A problem I'm facing is the Company badge. I've chosen the Ravening Jaw badge, but they are not decals for it. Give my current level of painting skills, there's no way I'm going to be able to paint and reproduce a decent badge. I thought of simply painting the runes for the Ravening Jaw in place of the badge, but I wonder if that will be alright. Doesn't seem wolfie to me...

Alright, enough with the rambling from me. Go ahead, take a look about.
