A Little About Me: Greg Alexander [Yahoo ID: Lg_Alexander] Contact Me: [email protected]
The son of a great auctioneer, who is the founder of Alexander's Auction. I am very proud of him. He's a real legend in the Northwest. He came to Seattle to work for Boeing in 1956. In 1957 He started the Alexander's Auction on it's very first site In Renton WA. USA. In 1971 I too became an auctioneer. I love the work and have gone from it to Boeing and back a few times. In the past few years with hard times hitting Seattle and the Boeing Company I find myself laid off and looking for something to do. "What you say to going back to the auction block?" I have been asked and reply with a happy yes. I started working my schooling and retraining and when it's all done I will go back to the auction.
Why go back to the auction profession? Why Not? Here's why: In all we do sometimes we love what is hard to do. Leaving the auction when it was taken down in 1996 was not easy. It was our hang out and first love. We all as a family loved and cherrished the place we grew up around. It was called the barn and it was wonderful A great place to grow up in the 60's and 70's. I graduated from Issaquah High School in 1972. I loved that school and go back often. I like the town of Issaquah and live only minutes away. It's a great place today with Microsoft, Boeing and many major corporations in the town. Today owing c4bNet and all the associated dot.coms is going to be great. In June of 2003 the purchace will be complete and ANUSales will run them all. We hope to serve all of our customers well.
What's Next? Who knows really. In the past 20 years I have owned software companies, auctions services, worked for Boeing, taught, trained, and worked in the community in many ways. My newest and most rewarding area of work is with www.onesent.org - a goup I co-founded and have helped since it's begining. I also have enjoyed my service to the OSATF and it's new begining. Many things have changed for me in the past few years.
