Q: Why would you include your basketball experience on a professional profile?A: I am including this information because I think that my accomplishments in basketball reflect a number of personal qualities that I possess. While I do not have outstanding physical attributes for basketball (I am 5'11"), I was able to excel at basketball through hard work, determination and enthusiasm. Combined with the fact that I was able to earn my honours degree while playing university-level basketball, I believe this shows a lot about the kind of person that I am and the kind of work that I can do.

July-August
1997
Acting as my own "agent", I arranged tryouts with these clubs in England in July and August of 1997. After practicing and competing with both of these teams, I was selected over other imports and was offered the only import position for either team. After trying to negotiate accomodation, financial compensation, etc. we were unable to agree on terms and I left England to travel throughout Europe.
York
University Yeomen Varsity Basketball Team
York
University - 1995-1997
During my tenure with the York Yeomen, we were consistantly ranked in the top ten in Canada, won several tournaments, and set many school team records. Besides commiting to 2-hour practices 5-6 days a week, we were expected to train individually for 1-2 hours per day. Travel throughout Canada was required for tournaments and games during our 6 month season.

Saskatchewan 1992-1994
I helped lead the Huskies to a top five ranking in the nation during the 1992-93 season, and to upsets of two Number 1-ranked teams during the 1993-94 season. Throughout the six-month season, the team was required to commit 3-4 hours per day for practices and training as well as travelling during weekends throughout western Canada.

Summers
1989-1993
I was captain of the 15 & under, 17 & under and 19 & under Saskatchewan Provincial Teams. I was a multiple tournament all-star, Western Canadian All-Star, and assists and steals leader at the 19 & Under National Championship Tournament in 1992. Exposure through these teams resulted in me being recruited to play at colleges and universities in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Michigan, and North Dakota.
Since the end of my playing days with Basketball Saskatchewan, I have coached in numerous provincial developmental programs.
