April 12-13, 2008 in Warwick, RI
Amherst | Army of Darkness | red &
white
Amherst College - Amherst, MA
Amherst College Men's Ultimate Frisbee Team The Army Of Darkness
Presents: our blurb. We strive, above all, to be huge ballers.
But our balling-ness is multi-dimensional. We have a mascot (Cock C.
Cock, the Cock)- you can meet him at the tournament. We are not
afraid to lay out. We have cheers that are fun, yet
meaningful. We enjoy playing Ultimate- no, we LOVE playing Ultimate,
and love playing other teams that feel the same way. Sure, you can
go out to a tournament and be hyper-focused and serious about winning- or,
you can go out, have a good time, AND win. We prefer the latter. In
any case- we'll see you on the field.
Bentley | Icehouse |
blue
Bentley College - Waltham, MA
Founded only 5 years ago by the Godfather Earl, the Brothamen have
become established as a force in the Metro-Boston section. What we
lack in strategy, we more than make up for with athleticism and all-out
heart. The last few years have been just the beginning of Bentley
Ultimate Society's legacy. After winning some games in sectionals
and having a shot at our first regionals appearance last year, this year
we've prepared our best team yet by far. Not only will we win
some frisbee games, but UConn will tell you about our flip cup tournament
abilities. We're confident in our game against anyone you put
us up against. Remember the Icehouse cheer, everyone, because
playing us is not an experience you're soon to forget.
Boston College-B Teaspoons | maroon /
white and gold
Boston College - Chestnut Hill, MA
The Spoonheads B-team hails from Boston College and is the training
ground for the future stars of BC Ultimate. The B-team plans to use the
very successful fall campaign to launch an even better spring semester. We
are guided by some key veteran leadership in juniors Chris “Farski”
Kalafarski and Brendan “B-Dan” McGinty and several sophomores such as
Lucas Baldridge, Chris “Fitz” Fitzpatrick, Michael “Lando” Laio, and
Anthony “Sabertooth” Clericuzio and fueled by promising rookies like Brian
“Brolio” Beaulieu, Tim “Dinglenuts” Dingman, and John “Sully” Sullivan.
Complex plays such as ZJ and Clusterbomb add flair to hardnosed defense
and efficient offense. With sectionals just on the horizon, the Spoonheads
B-team is gearing up for a spring stampede to regionals.
Bowdoin College | Stoned Clown |
black
Bowdoin College - Brunswick, ME
The Stoned Clown is Bowdoin's one and only multifaceted clown-shaped
ultimate playing entity. Hailing from Brunswick, Maine, the Clown
performed well in Div. 1 Club Sectionals, missing a bid to Regionals by
one point on point differential. After a frigid Maine winter-where
the Clown's drinking team performed admirably-we made a pilgrimage down to
High Tide. Though struggling through early morning play, we managed
to make the A-2 finals, where we lost to a far-too-sober Western Illinois
squad. This year's team has a nice balance of speed, height, and
handles, with hopes of bettering last year's 13th-place finish in College
Regionals. All are welcome to check us out at www.stonedclown.com.
Brandeis-B | MegaTron | red /
blue
Brandeis University - Waltham, MA
Brandeis-B, more commonly known as MegaTron, is bangin hot.
Every one of them. Be careful, for if you stare into their eyes for
too long, you'll instantly melt at their stunning good looks. After
hosting the first ever B-Deis B-Fest B-Team extravaganza, they're out for
blood. And your girlfriend.
Colby | Dazzlin' Asses | blue
Colby College - Waterville, ME
The Dazzlin' Asses is an up and coming team which is looking forward
to having a blast at Lemony. We have always done decently, but now
we are looking to move up in the world and shake things up. We have
a good mix of older and younger players, and are getting pumped for a
strong spring season.
Dartmouth-B | Discomfort Trolly | black
& white
Dartmouth College - Hanover, NH
The Dartmouth Discomfort Trolley is the premier ill-ease inflicting
mode of transportation in the country beside Southwestern Airlines. Born
emerging fully fourmed out of Cronus' head, in Ginnungugap from rib of
Adam and holding plastic flying discs the likes of which had never seeen
before in any of the 9 worlds, we took the newly formed world of ultimate
by storm (and by that I mean our hucks made rains fall from the heavens).
We fly to battle wearing black and white on wings carried by winds provied
by Aeolis the wind god (father of alum tom "dot com" wang 07). We went
undefeated in the fall's Lemony Fresh, won the chumpionship at Beasterns
and we shattered seed and broke expectations at college Southerns. We are
psychotic.
Fordham | Flying Jesuits | maroon with
white logo / white with maroon logo
Fordham University - Bronx, NY
You wanted a blurb you say? Here it is. The Flying
Jesuits have had a solid year considering the mix of new/old/sober?
players on the team. Win/Loss numbers don't matter. The team is
coming to Lemony to have a good time and send off the seniors who were
freshman when we won Lemony Fall in '04. Other teams should bring
the discs ... we'll bring the ruckus.
Longmeadow High School | Lancers | black,
white and red
Longmeadow High School - Longmeadow,
MA
We are an extremely competitive Ultimate team from Longmeadow,
Massachusetts and this will be our 5th year with an ultimate program. This
year we are looking to be one of the top teams in the nation after our
24th in the nation finish last season and graduating only 3 seniors. We
had 3 of our players try out for the boys junior worlds team, and we just
recently got accepted to play at High School Easterns this year. We are
playing in two college tournaments early this spring and then our high
school season starts.
Maine Farmington (UMF) | Farmington Sweat
Shop | green & silver
University of Maine Farmington,
ME
It’s an exciting time for UMF Ultimate. We ended last season with a
new look at our potential, and this season has been all about achieving
it. Our rookies have created a dominating presence for themselves on the
field doing everything from lay out D’s to never giving up on the
disc—even if it means coughing up blood afterwards. Our vets continue to
learn, evolve and teach each other, and with the end of their college
ultimate career in sight, they are determined to leave no regrets
behind.
This year, UMF rolls to the beat of Farmington Sweat Shop (green
& silver), and wants to show you how hard we work in dark and
dingy conditions. If the wind is strong—our blades will cut it, if the
rain is heavy—our D’s will stop it, and if the sun is shining, the Whammer
will be out in full force. Make sure you swing by our sideline to catch a
game over the weekend. All we ask is that you wait until the end to ask
for autographs.
Northeastern-B | The
Lads
Northeastern University - Boston, MA
Northeastern-B is small team comprised of new, young ultimate
talent. Our raw passion for the game is evident through our
aggressive style of play. We are very eager to compete and are
prepared to upset teams with our unparalleled intensity. With the
success of Northeastern-A, we feel like we have a great opportunity to
increase our team's notoriety and build a strong program that will achieve
excellence, year in and year out.
Providence College | PC Ultimate /
Original Spin | black
Providence College - Providence, RI
PC Ultimate has been a team for about 6 years and starting this year
we were officially recognized as a club on campus. The delay in club
status was a result of general team laziness, but we eventually submitted
everything and became official. Last year our team took home second
place in Lemony part 2 in Nov 06 and received the "Least likely to get
laid" award which for most of our team members has come true...thanks?
...Anyway we are a very laid back group who just look to have a good time
at tournaments and if we win sweet. Although we DO NOT take frisbee as
serious as most of the other teams, we do still manage to be competitive
in most of our games. This year we lost some key seniors but have
upcoming juniors who are poised to take over their spots. Get your
popcorn ready.
Stonehill-A | Bongos |
purple
Stonehill College - Easton, MA
Stonehill A is a very young and athletic team. Although made up of
primarily underclassmen with little experience, we have managed to be very
successful. We finished 1st in colleges at the fall Bridgewater
tournament, clinching our first victory in our school's history. We
entered the High Tide tournament this year for the first time and had a
very reasonable showing. We are learning quickly and it is showing, our
national ranking is higher than it has ever been. I believe we have become
a formidable competitor in the metro Boston area and expect to improve
upon our 9th place finish this year. We ended up winning our pool at
Lemony Fall the first day however sustained a broken ankle, a sprained
ankle and a broken toe from 3 of our top players rendering us a bit short
of players for day two. We hope to remain healthy and pick up where we
left off last fall.
Stonehill-B | Bongos |
purple
Stonehill College - Easton, MA
Stonehill B is also our coed team but competes in open tournaments.
Our B team, yet inexperienced, is led by a couple of experienced players
and is our farm program. We have a couple of talented female handlers that
have greatly improved since the beginning of the year and also have quite
a bit of speed from our poppers. Our goal for this year is to train and
give everyone on the B team the opportunity to work on positions and
technique that they might not be able to practice on a more competitive
team. Our ranking is currently very low so there is lots of room for
improvement in both seedings and personal achievements.
Tufts-B | B-Men | dark blue / light
grey
Tufts University - Medford, MA
The Tufts Elephant Men have been near the top of the rankings year
after year. Clearly the Ultimate Gods favor the first Nationals
host. This year the E-Men have been graced with very few graduating
players, leaving the team at it's strongest in many years. This leaves a strong population for the B and C teams to fill their roster with and enables them to compete against many A teams in the section. The B-men have written a number of B-Men records this year:
* First acceptance to Trouble in vegas, with a ragtag crew. * First competitively subbed and hand-picked B-Men team. * First acceptance to Georgia Southerns, going 8-1 in Div 2 The B-men are holding on to their high hopes of making a mark on
Sectionals and fighting for a Regionals bid. Lemony Spring will be a
measuring stick from which the B-Men will gauge what improvements need to
be made to see this dream come to fruition.
Tufts-C | C-Men | dark blue / light
grey
Tufts University - Medford, MA
The Tufts Elephant Men have been near the top of the rankings year
after year. Clearly the Ultimate Gods favor the first Nationals
host. This year the E-Men have been graced with very few graduating
players, leaving the team at it's strongest in many years. This
leaves a strong population for the B and C teams to fill their roster with
and enables them to compete against many A teams in the section.
This is the first year that Tufts has had a season-long C team, and
they have no shortage of success. Don't mistake them for a group of
left-overs, because the athleticism on this team is in no short
supply. The C team attended Georgia Southerns and put up a
respectable 3-3 record. Trouble in Vegas also featured some of the
members of the C-Men.
The true success of the C-Men comes from their numbers. There
are millions of them, and after getting pumped up, they come at you like a
hot wave of passion that they just can't pull out of. Keep your head
up, because you don't want to get caught unaware by the C-Men.

PART 2/RHODE ISLAND - WOMEN'S TEAM PROFILES
April 12-13, 2008 in Warwick, RI
Bentley | Salt 'n Peppa |
black
Bentley College - Waltham, MA
We're still a pretty new team, extremely young. We have no
seniors, very few juniors and the rest of the team is complied of freshman
and sophomores. We play hard but we love to have fun. We enjoy
dancing for no reason on the sideline, it keeps us happy. Salt 'n Peppa
just came back from High Tide where our record definitely does not show
how much we have improved. We're learning to flow as a team, which
makes our games more fun and competitive. It's still a growing year
for us, but we can still take on and surprise many teams.
Colby | Dazzlin' Asses |
blue
Colby College - Waterville, ME
The Colby College women's team, called the Dazzlin' Asses, is looking
forward to playing our first games on real grass after living in the
frozen tundra of Maine all winter. This fall and winter we played
coed with the Dazzlin' Asses mens team, so we're used to a fast paced game
with lots of layouts. We're a young team, looking to gain experience
before college sectionals, but when the Asses get fired up we can huck and
bid like nobody's business. Listen for our traditional Smurf cheer
to find us on the field.
Boston College-A | Flix | black
w/neon green lettering
Boston College - Boston, MA
The Boston College women's club team, called Flix, is a quickly
developing program coming off of a big 2nd place finish at Huck-a-Hunk
this fall and strong performances at High Tide and Roll Call. In our
ballin' all-black jerseys, our very young team is quickly rising in the
ranks and getting ready to join the race for a bid to the New England
Regionals. With a zone D that can't be broken, and hucks that break all
day, BC Women's Ultimate is looking to win some games and look damn good
doing it!
Boston College-B | Backhandz | black
w/neon green lettering
Boston College - Boston, MA
Brand new this spring, BC-B, the Backhandz,x is made up of almost
entirely freshman. Even though they've got the "B" in their title, don't
be fooled, these girls have been playing with A as one team for the entire
year. These girls have got their throws and cuts down, and are getting
better every day as they get sucked into the ultimate culture we all know
and love.
Bowdoin | Chaos Theory |
black
Bowdoin College - Brunswick, ME
The prettier side of Bowdoin Ultimate, Chaos Theory has been growing
exponentially over the past few seasons. . While throwing a forehand is
still pretty scary for some of us, the spirit of the game comes naturally.
Spring season is rough in Maine, where the fields rarely unfreeze until
long after Spring Break, so we've taken advantage of High Tide tournament
in Savannah to sharpen our skills in the sun. We're a fast team with
tight defense and we're excited for some fun, competitive Lemony
frisbee. Yeah, I dump.
Maine Farmington (UMF) | Super Heroes in
Training
University of Maine Farmington - Farmington,
ME
When Super Heroes in Training walks onto a field, there are several
things that are bound to happen. Sure, two or three of the players
are likely to trip over themselves and fall on their faces, but something
else happens too. We are a group of women who work together doing
something we love. This team will take advantage of any weakness our
competitor dares to have. We come to play. We come to win. And at
the end of the day no one needs to tell us; we already know that we’re the
S.H.I.T.
Maine Farmington-B | The Rejects | green,
white, & silver
University of Maine Farmington - Farmington,
ME
Tufts-B | B-Wo
Tufts University - Medford, MA
The Tufts B-team, the B-wo (for elephant women, E-wo, b team), is
only a few years old, but we are getting more awesome every day. Each
year, we have more players and our skills are blossoming. In the fall and
winter, we play with the a-team, and together we stomped Purple Valley,
Coffee Cup, and a tournament at U-Mass this past fall. With a growing
number of players and now two coaches, we are an unstoppable force on the
field. But don't be scared, because we exemplify Spirit of the Game, and
we are fun to hang with off the field as well as on. A little E-wo
disc!
PART 2/RHODE ISLAND - COED TEAM PROFILES
April 12-13, 2008 in Warwick, RI
Aunt Flow - University of New Hampshire
alum | red
Aunt Flow was a Frisbee team created in memory of one of its former
UNH player's late aunts. The name fit, as this rag-tag assortment of
teammates gelled, creating a certain continuity while this team had
possession of the disc. Aunt Flow used to frequent the ultimate
scene once a month. Now due to age and other restraints Aunt Flow
has become less regular, making only a fall and spring tournament each
year. You will notice Aunt Flow moving down the field in their usual
colors of red and white with loud cheers and much heckling. Aunt
Flow took this tournament some years ago, so you best be wary of the great
Aunt Flow.
BLU - southern Connecticut |
yellow
BLU was originally conceptualized as Broken Leg Ultimate after some
of the founding members broke their legs. When the injuries started
racking up though, we decided to change our name to just BLU in order to
rid ourselves of the ominous karma that had previously surrounded our
team. Now we're an up and coming club team entering its second
season as a competitive ultimate team. Based out of southern
Connecticut, we have a good balance of skilled younger players and wily
older vets. Solid all around, BLU is looking to have fun and be
competitive. Obvious though it may be, we feel the need to point out
that our jerseys are YELLOW.
Enough Monkeys - Hanover, NH
| mandarin
Enough Monkeys is a mixed club team from Hanover, NH with a 129-73
record since the team started in 2004. After minutes of
training and planning during the off-season, they're back this year to
start the season by defending their Lemony Spring title.
Flowchart - Boston, national | blue
Flowchart is a team from Boston built from a core of players who've
played together over the last summer and some pickups. The last time
we played together outdoors was at Get Ho Ho Ho! where we were then known
as Non-Waitress Alex and went to the semi-finals of D-3.

Grey Till - New York City |
grey?
Unlike other club teams from New York City, Grey Till can form a
bluegrass band out of its members. Even though it has never played
any other team in a card tournament, the Till is certain it would
triumph over all competition, including open and women's, if Lemony's
format was switched from ultimate to Euchre. Maybe poker too.
Generally speaking, members of the Grey Till like fine coffees and despise
people who can't handle a little rain. The team was founded on
Central Park's Great Hill in the late summer of 2006.
Hucky McBlowandretch - Boston | black /
green
Hucky McBlowandretch is the off-season incarnation of last summer's
BUDA 5/2 powerhouse, Hucky McThrowandcatch. With a strong 3rd place
(tied) finish in last year's tournament, Hucky is taking to the non-summer
tourneys to sharpen both its skills and its heckles in preparation for
another rough and tumble season. For this tournament we've hired
some mercenaries to supplement our absentee-plagued roster. We are a
collection of (fairly) recent Boston area alumni, connected through an
ambiguous network based on gmail and PBR. Spirit level: high.
Talent: inate. Practice: very little. Colors: black like bile,
green like snot. Go Puke bags!

Kinetic Poets - various colleges | blue

Combination of overweight overeducated cubicle dwellers, enthusiastic
but inept track runners along with high schoolers and their coaches.
Degenerates one and all, preferring a Run & Gun offense followed up
with lackluster to nonexistent defense. The Kinetic Poet strategy
will be to use bribes and foul play in place of skill and effort.
MUClovin - western Connecticut | Carolina
blue
MUCloving is a group of people who started playing pick up around
Middlebury, CT about a year ago. We became a group with the immortal
words of "are we a club or what." We've done about 3 tournaments,
some successful, some not so successful.
New England College | Grim Reapers | red
shirts, white shorts
New England College - Henniker, NH
The New England College Grim Reapers sport black uniforms with hoods
and sickles, although the sickles usually stay on the sidelines. Our
summer recruiting went very well. We gave out five full-scholorships
to high school seniors from both South Korea and the tribal nation of
Swaziland, as well as three partial scholarships to athletes from the
United States. Our fall season went very well. We entered five
tournaments, finishing first in all of them, losing only one game in
total. We are looking foward to the UPA tournament series as most of
the nation's top analysts have us projected to win it
all.
Just kidding. This is only our second season of existence and our team is still developing. We love to play, though, and have a ton of fun doing so. And for the record, we wear red, not black, and we don't carry sickles. NGFY (No Grass For You!) - New York
City | dark blue / white & green
"No Grass For You!" is a year-old team drawn from a pickup game
that's been played in Central Park for more than 10 years. Our home
field is a rocky, grassless spit aptly - if not affectionately - called
the 'Dustbowl', and is the inspiration for both our name and lust to
travel to tournaments played on sweet, soft grass. We are an
eclectic group, ranging from recent college grads to grand masters, former
college standouts to utter novices. You may remember us from such
tournaments as Pada Mosh, Funky Mountain, Wilkes Grade A, Get Ho Ho Ho!,
Bill Norris, and Wildwood. Our record is decent, for sufficiently
generous definitions of decent, as we un-learn the bad habits that 10
years of pickup instills. We play foremost with spirit, but we play
to win.
Sealand National Ultimate Team - North
Sea | black & red
The Sealand National Ultimate Team, or the Lords of Sealand, as we
like to be called, hail from the great Principality of Sealand off the
eastern coast of the United Kingdom. We have a pretty good training
program despite the fact that Sealand is smaller than a regulation field,
and contains no grass. But lets face it, if you had to climb down 70
meters the the water and swim a hundred yards for every dropped or
overthrown disc, you would probably get pretty good at making sure your
timing was on and that your thows were accurate in the strong North
Atlantic wind. This is Sealand's tournament debut, and our roster
looks pretty skinny for this tournament, as it is time for the harvest
back home. We may not have bright fancy uniforms (yet) but we do
have something no other Boston area team has, and that's Diplomatic
Immunity. "E Mare Libertas."
Stack to the Future (STTF) - Boston |
black
Last year's Lemony Spring was our first tournament ever and we had
so much fun that we decided to go back in time and do it again.
After ten months of failed research, we gave up and settled on coming
to this year's Lemony Spring.
Unity College | Big Worm
Ultimate | green &
yellow
Unity College - Unity, ME
Our team is Big Worm Ultimate, from Unity College in Maine. We
don't do too well usually, we have won like 5 games in the past 3
years. But we are a fun team and look forward to playing.
Wheaton College Lemony Fresh | black
& yellow | white with blue
Wheaton College - Norton, MA
The combination of Lemony Fresh Open and Lemony (So) Fresh (and so
Clean Clean) Women's makes for a strong overall team
dynamic. Offensive and defensive points will be noted by some
nasty lay-outs and the high likelihood of hammers. Where Lemony
Fresh goes, a party will follow. There is a high probability that
Crank Dat will be playing in the background and one or more players on the
field will be doing the Superman dance (even while handling).

fairly short, Brandeis has been a consistent threat in the Northeast,
regularly qualifying for regional competition. We have maintained our
reputation as a highly competitive ultimate team and crew of dedicated
athletes. This year brings arguably the most talented core of upper
classmen that Tron has ever seen, coupled with a broad base of athletic
underclassmen. Tron is stressing a program based on strong
competition and spirit. We are hoping to make this Tron's breakout

The Wheaton boys are expecting an exceptional spring season out of

Wheaton has been working out this winter, and if nothing else, they'll
look good playing with their shirts off. This spring 08 season has
brought some fresh new talent and athleticism. They are looking to
continue their strong performances at fall tournaments such as Hampshire's
"Red November" and "Get Ho Ho Ho!" Of course, expect amazing half
