This page is to be dedicated to putting down a record of what has happened in the campaign so far. Usually a player will volunteer to do a log for extra points at character creation, but so far, no one has for our group. So this may not be a complete list of events.

As the results of last session's blood curses, Donald emailed us the following: An Interlude
A strange dream visits you in the night.
In a blank white plain peppered with boulders under a sable sky, Simon staggers out of the shadow of a stone. Confused, he spins around, trying to discern his locale.
A pale figure steps out of another shadow, chuckling at Simon's befuddlement. "Greetings, Grandson."
Simon whirls around, shocked to be addressed by Oberon. Stammering, he exclaims, "You've done it again! Why have you brought me here, now, Oberon? Haven't you tormented me enough?"
The aged monarch shakes his head. "No, Simon, this is not truly of my doing. Other forces are at work here, and your own actions have as much responsibility for our current situation as any others'."
"What? What are you trick are you attempting, Oberon? I have done nothing to warrant this rude surprise!"
"I suppose there is some truth to your claim," Oberon admits. "You are not the full measure of what you were shortly before."
"Are you saying that I am dead? That I am a ghost?"
"In a manner of speaking, yes. The Pattern has brought you forth at the bidding of others to help minimize the damage your true self has inflicted upon It."
"Then why don't I recall my death?"
"You would not be able to recall that regardless, due to your nature, but you have also been edited to make you more... tractable, Simon."
Simon stepped away, glaring at the King. "Aha! I knew that you viewed us all as mere tools, Oberon! I shall not play my part in your plans so readily."
"No, Simon, you have no choice now. Like myself, you have a part to play now and no other options. Choices are for the living, Simon, not us."
"Is this where I will spend eternity, tormented by you all the while?"
"Yes, Simon. I do this not out of cruelty, though I will relish your suffering with what emotions I am still capable of. Your Blood Curse doomed my repairs to the Pattern and endangered our army in Chaos. I lost my life to your tantrum, as others among my brood will undoubtedly also pay. But now we must do what we can to sustain the Pattern's strength."
"What plan do you have, then? Flay my spirit to appease the Unicorn?"
Again Oberon chuckled evilly. "Not quite, Simon. Ahead is the Pattern. You shall walk it until the stress destroys you. At that point, you will be recreated and I shall repeat this farce with you again."
Simon turns to walk away, but realizes that his will is not his own. Slowly, he turns and walks to where the Pattern lay, horrified that he cannot refuse the compulsion.
"I guess it's true, some people never learn," states Oberon, watching the inevitable.
The campaign got back underway after the chaos of last week. This time saw Espen being named acting regent (due to Gerard's disappearance), the introduction of Aldo, and the return of Josephina, the former companion of Melusine, who had been named the Queen of the main kingdom in Corwin's Pattern. The remaining cousins have descided to make a preemptive strike on the forces of Chaos, and are prepared to begin their march, hoping to rescue the kidnapped Llew along the way.
The march to Chaos has begun, and we even manged to got Llew back :) We've tried getting Martin back to Amber to be our patsy, er, acting regent. There were a few "small" problems along the way to the battle. First we got caught in a shadow storm. Then, after cutting through Corwin's pattern (Argent) we spotted the black road in its shadows (guess that's more just a problem for Fina than anyone else). And finally on the "Chaos" side of Ygg, we ran into our first company of Demon soilders. Next time we hope to make it to the battle proper.
After a few battles with Demons along the way, we arrives at the Fire Gates of Thelbane to find Benedict and Brand had killed each other. At the battle field we were presented with the scene of Fiona, Llewella, Random, and Flora about to begin the negotiations to surrender, with Julian and Dierdre killed in battle. Fina rode forth and let them know that we had brought reinforcements, and that shadow beyond Ygg has fallen into a great shadow storm. So it was all or nothing... And so the battle resumed. With our troops quickly being picked off in the patchwork of ways that is Chaos, Fiona attempted a radical plan. She "absorbed" the energy of the sorcerers that we had brought with us and used their energy, added with the last of hers, to summon the Pattern and force Thelbane into one shadow.
Unfortunately for the world, at the same time Fina was attempting to tap the Jewel of Judgement analog for Argent (Melusine's now stone heart, formed when Fina was carried along its Pattern with it by Mel's ghost) to see if its powers could be used to resurrect the fallen Princes and Princess. Fina, a mere shadow-dweller, was pulled into Fiona as the Heart and the Pattern merged...
We all woke up elsewhere.
