I was born  in the back of a Buick in 1955 just outside the door of Mercy Hospital in Redding, CA.  They charged my dad for a delivery anyway... My father told me he was of Mikasookee, Cajun and Irish descent and grew up in Wickenburg Arizona.  Of course he could've been just about anything cuz Dad liked to stretch the truth all out of shape when it wasn't something important and there is not much less important that racial origins.. I am pretty sure Mom was Choctaw and Scots-Irish Trailertrash from Louisville Kentucky. I am sure of this cuz I am dark skinned, dark eyed  and I feel all warm amd fuzzy when I see aluminum siding.  I identify with my Indian heritage only so far as recognizing the value of being a part of the Earth and not the master of it.  Of course I really like the cool art work and all that leather and other spiffy stuff but every culture and every people has that.  Don't they?   I like 'em all.  Especially the pretty girls!  I never got to ask Mom about anything  though cuz she died when I was 2 years old.  To date I am the only surviving member of my branch of the family.  Except for my 4 year old. I was raised here and there by this and that and whoever. I joined the Army out of High School as an Airborne Ranger where I learned that the Army's Best and Brightest are at best only slightly above average.   Then I reenlisted in Military Intelligence (cuz I am only slightly above average myself) and learned that the really smart people in the military don't make any of the command decisions.  Along the way I picked up a BA in Geography from Humboldt State, learned how to cook better over an open fire than most chefs can in a kitchen and a bunch of other useful stuff.  Now I am Semi Retired from the military, Semi divorced from my wife and have lots of time to play with my daughter and explore my many interests!
This is me in 1998 when I won the International Knife Throwing Championship in Las Vegas.  I didn't win cuz I am the best.  I won because I was the best there that day...  I took 3rd this year The competition is getting tough! .... and yes I am 46 years old.  No drugs, no smoking,, and booze and babes only in moderation.  My looks , general lack of charm and acid reflux make both of these self regulating activities.....
