First off, remember the chorus rules.  The Five R's!

Be in the

1. Right place at the 

2. Right time with the

3. Right attitude and the 

4. Right materials

5. Ready to concentrate!

Explanation of rules:

1. Right place, easy enough, be in Mrs. Winston-Jackson's room, in your seat, sitting up straight and tall, ready to go!

2. Right time.  Chorus meets promptly at 3:20 and ends at 4:10.  Make sure that you are there on time and that you have arranged a ride home after practice.  Chorus practice only takes place once a week, so if you're late you miss a lot.  If you are consistently late (more than 3 times in one nine week period), you will be removed from the chorus and will have to sit out for an entire nine weeks before being allowed to re-audition.  If you are going to be absent from chorus practice, you must bring an excuse from home or from your home room teacher before that rehearsal.  Three or more unexcused absences will result in your removal from the chorus.

3. Right Attitude.  Come Ready to sing, not to talk or socialize.  We are a performing group and we will be working toward becoming a great chorus that everyone will want to hear.  

4. Right Materials.  You need your chorus folder (I will give you this during our first rehearsal) and a pencil at every rehearsal.  There are many things you will need to right down in your music as we rehearse!

5. Be ready to concentrate!  Music is fun, but it also takes a lot of hard work to do it right.  Make sure that you are ready, not only to learn to sing, but also to think and be creative!
