Welcome to the beginnings of my manor!
On my free weekends (free?!?), I do Civil War re-enacting with the 2nd Vermont Light Artillery. I've only been doing Civil War stuff for about 2 years now, and I really enjoy it. It's a completely different environment than the SCA (go figure...). When I'm at a Civil War event, I really feel like I have the ease and ability to time warp back to that period in history. More than likely, that's because the Civil War groups recreate between about 1850 and 1865, whereas the SCA encompasses 1000 years (from 600-1600ad). That means I could be walking around in Elizabethan with a Viking by my side.
