The Lady Colonels beat their cross town rivals by a score of 44-40. Senior guard Ashley Simpson led the team with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and a "statement making" block against her former teammates. Sophomore forward Brandi Smith chipped in 7 points, 2 rebounds, an assist and a steal. Senior guard Janee Jennings had no points, but did have a steal and 5 key defensive stops. Junior guard Sade Robinson scored 5 points, and sophomore center Kim Foster grabbed 6 rebounds and blocked a shot. Freshman center Sidra Johnson had 1 point, 3 rebounds and 1 block. Junior forward Chenique Bonds was 100% from the free throw line and scored 4 points. Junior guard Katera Baxter had 2 points to complete the Fleming scoring.

The Lady Colonels suspected they might be in trouble when they noticed that the opponents' point guard was taller than all but three of the Fleming players. The loss by a score of 52-37 confirmed their suspicions. Ashley Simmons led the team with 10 points and 3 steals. Brandi Smith added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Shayla Vance returned to the fold with 6 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. JazmineCarter and Janee Jennings had 5 and 3 points respectively. Sade Robinson, scored 2 points. Kim Foster scored a basket, pulled down 11 rebounds and blocked 5 shots. Sidra Johnson added 2 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Marcia Sullivan only scored a free throw, but led the team in assists.

The Lady Colonels pulled their starters and dropped their press as they tried hard to keep their scoring down while defeating New Covenant 73-11. Shayla Vance led the team with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Ashley Simmons added 10 points and 3 assists. Brandi Smith chipped in 9 points, 2 blocked shots and 3 steals. Sade Robinson had 7 points and 4 steals. Jazmine Carter added another 7 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Marcia Sullivan scored 6 points, with 3 assists and 3 steals. Sidra Johnson also had 6 points with 8 rebounds, a blocked shot, 2 assists and a steal. Janee Jennings shot 100% from 2 point range and the free throw line as she scored 4 points, had 4 steals and dished off 3 assists. Katera Baxter also had 6 points with 3 rebounds and 2 steals to boot.Cirrea Bonds had 2 points,, 3 assists and 2 steals. Little sister Chenique Bonds followed with 2 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Kim Foster added another 2 points, and LaCara Smith scored her first 2 points of the season to complete the Fleming scoring.

The Lady Colonels lost a hard fought game to William Byrd by a score of 57-53 in a match which left many wondering how Fleming would have fared if they had spent as much time at the free throw line as did their opponents. Math majors got headaches trying to figure out how the Fleming press stopped the ball from crossing half court for 11 seconds, but when the whistle sounded, it was for a foul against Fleming. And apparently, the game was played in two time zones. In the Fleming time zone, 5 seconds lasted 3, but in the opponents time zone , 5 seconds lasted 7-10 seconds.
In any case, Ashley Simmons led the offense with 22 points 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Shayla Vance brought 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals to the table. Cirrea Bonds added 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Brandi Smith had 4 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and blocked a shot. Janee Jennings, Sade Robinson, Chenique Bonds and Kim Foster each had 2 points. Jazmine Carter had a free throw to complete the Colonels' scoring.

E.C. Glass avenged an earlier loss to the Lady Colonels by defeating them 49-43. Ashley Simmons again led Fleming with 13 points, 2 assists and 2 steals. Brandi Smith added 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Janee Jennings had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Shayla Vance had 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and one blocked shot. Cirrea Bonds, Chenique Bonds, Kim Foster and Katera Baxter each had 2 points. Cirrea Bonds and Kim Foster had 5 and 6 rebounds respectively.
