We
have 278 patients started the haemodialysis operation at Red
Crescent Dialysis Centre as at 31 December 2011. This year the
centre has accept 37 new patients with about 84 more new patients on
the waiting list. Our Red Crescent Dialysis Centre is short of
financial. Lately, Red Crescent Dialysis Centre has seen an
accelerated growth in the number of patients applying for treatment.
We need more than RM70 million to support our patients for the next
10 years. To combat this expensive trend, Red Crescent Dialysis
Centre now seeks a more prudent and effective answer by shifting its
emphasis to prevention yearly to support a single patient on
dialysis. We had patients from West Malaysia such
as Selangor, Johor even other countries like Brunei, and Taiwan.
Recently, our centre organized an awareness program with the aim
to reduce the risks of the development of kidney failures.
