Welcome To Caring Old Folks Home

 
Caring old folk homes provide shelter, support and good medical care to destitute senior citizens. Caring Old Folk Home have two homes serving the aged. Through the establishing of  old folk homes, the destitute and homeless can be place in our old folk homes. They are able to enjoy a better quality of life in our old folk home. We provide singing activities, games, watching movie, read story and other to avoid boredom among the senior citizens. Some volunteer also chat with the elderly when they free. 

Objectives:

1. To provide shelter for the destitute senior citizens

2. To provide spiritual guidance and counseling services.

3. To provide medical care for aging seniors

4. To make arrangements to reunite seniors with family and relatives.

5. To make arrangements for the funeral service of the seniors of the home.

Special programs in old folk homes encompass a wide range of activities and services. Their purposes are:

  • To enable senior citizens to interact with their environment;
  • To find build social relationships among elderly
These activities are planned and carried out by the care team of staff and volunteers. The activities we carry out are meet the needs of the residents as the resident defines them. In other words, the activities are done with the residents, not for them. Variety of programs available in our old folk home depends on the health and interests of the residents.

 

Activities

Below are some of the activities that organized by our Caring Old Folk Home:
  • Monthly birthday parties 

      - All senior citizens are invited to the party and join in the fun with the help of volunteers.

 

  • Celebrations of various holidays

     -Celebration activities are include both secular and religious.

     -Valentine's Day, Halloween, Christmas, and Memorial Day are a few examples.

 

  • Musical events 

     -Senior citizens can be enjoyed actively depending on the abilities of the residents. 

     -The residents request their favorite songs and sing along with volunteer.

     -Sometimes concerts are given by a church or school group or friend of the old folk home.

 

  • Games

     -Include both one-to-one relationships and group activity.

     -Bingo, chess and other games for smaller groups usually are available.

 

  • Exercise fun and physical fitness. 

    -Community leaders often volunteer to lead 'Tai Chi' or other exercise sessions.

     -A wheelchair-bound residents find satisfaction in exercising on a regular basis.

 

  • Books

     -Volunteers also read books to the room of immobile residents.

     -Talking books for the blind may be part of the service.

     -Many people help with reading to those unable to see well.

 

  • Religious services

    -Our old folk homes welcome denominational groups to provide religious services  for those who wish to  attend.
