The
Caring Old Folk Home was filled with happiness and warmth when the 79 senior
citizens were celebrated by the staff and volunteer for the Lunar New Year. The
home was well decorated as well to heighten the festive spirit.
The event was sponsored by Sunrise company as part of its corporate
social responsibility initiative.
Joining the celebration were 15 stroke patients who were present at the
home for physiotherapy treatments at the home¨s physiotherapy and stroke
rehabilitation centre.
The President of Caring Old Folk Home, Mr. Thomas Teo, said he was
delighted with the initiative carried by the Sunrise since event
such as this mean so much to the senior citizens.

This
celebration will do good for the old folks since the senior citizens
cannot calabrated Lunar New Year is coming soon. Such an initiative will
make them feel wanted and create a smile on their faces. They are always
happy whenever people come to drop by especially on festive seasons ̄.
Thomas Teo was proud because many people have given the folks many
things that they need but spending time with them is what they actually
appreciate the most.
True enough, the folks were more than delighted to welcome the staff
to celebrate with them and their joy could be seen from their smiles and
laughter throughout the celebration.
The
goodie bags consisting of toiletries were donated by companies while Ang
Pows worth RM50 each were sponsored by Sunrise Malaysia.
The volunteer kids volunteer to sing and telling story to the oldest.
