Funding

Part Time Study

Fees for part-time study will normally apply to clients in full-time employment, although employers can adopt a sponsoring role and offer financial support. Current fees are available from Customer Services who will be happy to provide further details on request. Students who are receiving certain benefits or tax credits, are likely to be eligible for assistance towards fees, travel expenses, study materials and childcare costs.

Full Time Study

Students may be eligible for a Lauder College Bursary, which will cover tuition fees, and may also assist with living and travelling expenses. Lone parents and students in receipt of income support should remain on benefit and claim tuition fees and travel expenses from the college. Alternatively, students who are on benefit, may be eligible for funding through Training for Work or New Deal.

Students under the age of 25 may apply for extra help from the Young Persons Retention Fund, which is worth up to £400. For students over 25 years of age, additional funding is available to all students on a means tested basis, particularly for childcare and housing costs.
