The other day I was doing a sketch for the cover of a calendar. It was for a volunteer program and the concept was "Building a Stronger Community". There were twin kids watering a tree, but instead of water, hearts were pouring out with tiny rainbows. The roots were grasping the earth and flowers were blooming- it was very hopeful. The next day when I started to paint this, the ugly twin tower tragedy occured. It was very ironic. |
