A psychology degree may often lead to careers dealing with therapy or counseling. With further education, careers such as Psychologist and social worker may also be an option.

At least 41 credit hours in psychology courses are required for the degree.
Students learn both the theories of psychologists and how the theories are applied in real life situations.

Sociology on the other hand, is defined as the "scientific study of the variety of ways in which people organize themselves in society and behave." "[The program] offers a cross-cultural perspective to understanding human behavior" (www.ben.edu).

According to Sociology Instructor Dr. Jonathan Lewis the Sociology curriculum is very thorough. "It requires more preparation in statistics than other programs, but it also offers a fairly large variety of elective courses within the major."
