Description                    : Business proposition for the Philippine Bayanihan Society

          Preparation of business plan, including market analysis and network design

Bayanihan Wireless LAN Project

Description                    : ADSL Broadband Service from the Administration Office will be extended to the LAN upstairs to provide facilities to IT/ Computer short-term courses

Project Duration                   : 3 months (started September 2, 2002)

Project Team                                         : 5

Project Involvement                  : Project Manager

          Coordination between the Bayanihan Administration, volunteers, vendors and the Consultant

          Prepared project time scales based on the current network design and availability of volunteers

          Assisted the Consultant in soliciting quotations for the preparation of Purchase Order

          Assisted the Consultant during the site survey and signal strength measurement

Hardware involved            : D-Link 900AP Wireless Access Point, 24 port/8port switches, uncut RJ-45 UTP cables and connectors, and 25 PCs running on Win95

About The Philippine Bayanihan Society

The Philippine Bayanihan Society is a composition of Filipinos and Singaporeans who are accomplished and highly-esteemed in their respective fields. The Society is headed by its President. Ms. Jennie Chua who is also  the Chief Operating Officer and President of the Raffles International Limited. They have inaugurated the Bayanihan Center last August 26, 2001 as a center for symbolizing the friendship and cultural relationships between Singapore and the Philippines.  The Center would be the focal point of the Philippine Government's programs for Filipino Overseas Workers. This also aimed for skills upgrading, training, education and other self-development programs. Through cultural events and exhibitions which the Society will organize in the grounds of the Center, the Philippine culture and arts will be promoted in Singapore.

 

Association of Mapua Alumni in Singapore (SAMA) Web Page Development

Description:                   :Aimed to create a forum for the Association and inform the public about current activities and entice sponsors and affiliates

Project Duration             : 1 month (started September 2, 2002, completed October 2, 2002)

Project Team                 : 2

Project Involvement            : Content Developer/Web Programmer

          Development of content, site map and templates

          Assisted in designing the graphical user interface

Coding/debugging/development tools: HTML, CSS, FrontPage and Dreamweaver, Javascripts

The Singapore Association of Mapua Alumni is an association of Mapua Alumnis living and working in Singapore who agreed to promote the general welfare, develop mutual help and cooperation, foster loyalty and love to the Alma Mater (Mapua Institute of Technology), and civic spirit.
