| Waldo Gómez: A guitar player with a classic style, reminiscent of the sound of the blues players of the 60’s. He joins la misma cosa on March 14, 2002. His first music studies begin in late 89, at the local church choir. Shortly thereafter, he joins rock band LA HUEVA. In 1990 he enrolls in the school of music at the Universidad de Guadalajara. In 1992, he starts courses in acoustic guitar with professor CARLOS MADRIGAL. In 1993, he furthers his music studies with cellist ALFONSO RÍOS, and it is with him that he comes into contact wit the Blues, feeling great affinity for the emotions the style involves. It is not until 1995 that he joins the band CO-DICE, which was his first "official" band, and with whom he would work until 1996. From 1996 to 1998 he plays with rock band RATMA. From 1999 to 2000, he joins a course in modern harmony (Actualizacion de Armonia Moderna), with professor MARIO ROMERO. To this day, he continues his music studies under the supervision of LALO GALVAN, expanding his skills in the Blues and Jazz idioms. He has been influenced by B.B. King, Albert King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Johnson, and in Guadalajara, by la misma cosa Blues Band. |
