In February 1992, "la misma cosa" Blues Band appears in the Blues scene of the land of the mariachi, adding a sober, original style, full of feelings of joy, love and desperation, all of which the genre demands as condiments. They name themselves after a song by Willie Dixon (one of the greatest Blues composers): "The same thing". Considered advanced pupils of legendary masters such as Willie Dixon, T-Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thorton, Jimmy Reed and Buddy Guy, among others, they prove themselves in each one of their performances, with the crudeness and energy that is required by all of those who have lived the life of a Blues musician.
Their renditions and compositions have left a solid print, like is the case of the energetic "Shut up Babe", the painful "Im gonna leave you", the dynamic "Blues Efervescente", or the intense "Your Love Is Llike A Hurricane", among others that have become standards in demand. The band has visited bars, night clubs, theaters, cultural centers, schools and colleges, open venues, the Mexican Pacific beaches, etc., all places that have opened their doors to these Blues promoters. Their most outstanding performances have been at the "Ferias" and International Festivals like the Festival de Blues de Zacatecas: the Aguas-Blues, Aguascalientes; the 6th International Bikers Meeting in Jalisco; The Jazz and Rock Festival, Sinaloa; The Festival Internacional de Blues, Guadalajara; Fiestas de Octubre Guadalajara; Fiestas de Tlaquepaque, Jalisco; the Cultural Weeks of different universities between 1996-2002; Premio Atanasio Monroy, Jalisco; and the International Blues & Jazz Festival of the Festival de las Artes Zapopan; earning them the privilige of being one of the most sought out bands by Blues fans throughout Mxico.

It will not be strange to find la misma cosa Blues Band as the back-up band for renowned international Blues musicians, like they have been already for Neal Black, Tomas "Tomcat" Colvin, Shrimp City Slim, Jake "Guitar" Owen, and Rusty Martin among others. Neither will it be strange to find them at the least expected place for Blues music, for their committed promotion will take them, some day, very close to each one of you.
They were producers and conductors of their own radio show "Blues Legends" in 1999, at "Extasis Digital" 105.1 FM Radio. They have done radio interviews and shows at RED Radio Universidad de Guadalajara, Stereo Soul, AAA, RadioMujer, Extasis Digital, XEJB and Canal 58, as well as radio stations in Puerto Vallarta, Autln, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas and Cd. Guzmn, among more in the region. They have also been invited to different TV Networks like Televisa Canal 4 Guadalajara and Canal 8 Culiacn; Canal 6 Guadalajara ("Gente del 6" and "87.8 video clips"), and Canal 7 ("El Hombre Ante el Mundo" and "La Maquina") among others.
