Stories of dorm life
Some people would be amazed at the stories on these pages from the dorm and wonder how we managed to stay sain, but for us, who actually went through all of this, it's nothing more than a memory now. We had some terrifying experiences and some rather thrilling ones too.  Then there were always the sad times and the angry times where everyone seemed to be bitter enemies.  When we recall these times, we always laugh and think back to the days that used to be...
Freshman year 2002-2003
"The cry baby"
This is a story about my former suite mate Laura.  Now for all of you out there who don't know dorm terms... I will keep a running tab on stuff that you might not pick up right away. Anyway, Laura was "daddy's little girl" and so needless to say, she was rich and had all kinds of stuff in her room.  Marie, her roommate, didn't like... ok... hated Laura because she was so stuck up.  That pretty much was the same with most people on our floor who knew her.  One night, Marie came over to visit Jodi and I (she came over every night actually so she could escape from her evil roommate) and as we were watching TV and chatting, all of a sudden we could here Laura crying madly in the other room.  We listened tentively as we overheard her talking to one of her friends on the phone.  She was sobbing to her friend about how her daddy had ONLY left her with $500 dollars for the month!!!!!!!  We couldn't help but chortle furiously behind the door.  Needless to say, Laura didn't last too long in that dorm!
suite mate- in some dorms on campus, there are suites and they are split on either side of the bathroom, and so your suite mate would be someone who lived on the other side. (da)
This picture totally reminds me of Jodi, Hannah, and Marie going puddle jumping all the time and coming back with the muddiest pants I've ever seen!
One of these days, Jodi and I are going to teach Marie how to swim... I think we'll start by throwing her in this lake!
This picture is supposed to represent Marie and what I did to her in May(except without the smile on her face).  I'm a little fuzzy on the events that led up to this aerosol fight in our dorm, but when it started, I had two bottles of air freshener in my hands and Jodi and Marie had the other bottle.  They had not been used all that much so they lasted for about 45 minutes.  Marie and Jodi stayed in Marie's room and I stayed in mine while we both opened the bathroom doors to see if the other person was trying sneak in.  After awhile, all three rooms started to smell heavily of the three different scents of perfume, so I grabbed my fan and pointed towards Marie's door and programmed it to high.  Then I sprayed for a while and hoped that it would infultrate Marie's room.  Then I managed to sneak into the bathroo and remain perfectly still and quiet until Marie and opened the door, and when she did, I'm afraid I gave her a 10 second shot right in the face.  She was a little mad if I might say... So then we agreed to a truce, and then Jodi comes into the bathroom sprays me in the face and we all laughed.  The battle of the bathroom lasted a whole 45 minutes and we had to leave the premises for about 2 hours before we could actually return to our rooms and breathe again.  The air fresheners had left a hazy mist in all of our rooms, the smell of it didn't disappear until 2 days later...
Not only did we have an aerosol fight, Marie, Jodi, and I also had a donut fight.  It was springtime, and Marie came over and visited for about the 8th time that day, when she asked if I had any food.  What a question!  Anybody who knows me knows I ALWAYS have some kind of  a food stock.  Well I let her dig around in my drawer and she came across the unopened box of powdered donuts.  Of course she opened them immediately and started scarfing them down life there was no tomorrow... I was shocked at how much this girl could eat and not gain a poound and not even get full!  So then Jodi took a few and I took a few and before you knew it, there was only 2 or 3 left!  Then I hid them in one of the drawers in that same dresser and Jodi and Marie went searching for them.  Then they left the room to talk to Hannah and so I tried to shut the door but then Jodi came toward me and I shut the door right on her and I think I actually broke her toe.  She ran (hopped) over to Hannah's room and pretty much stayed there for the rest of the day.  So I took the remaining donuts out of the box and put them in a decorative pattern on a plate with  a bunch of other chocolate candy and some other sweets and I gave it to Marie, Jodi and Hannah.  So then we partied in Hannah's room while Jodi sat there on the floor with a giant purple and green toe.
