Lucy is definitely the reason
why I decided to become more involved in the breed. I bought
Lucy as a companion. She easily earned her AKC Conformation Championship,
even though she was not thrilled with the show ring. Lucy is
a beautiful, big curly with a stellar temperament. She is very
patient and tolerant with our daughter.
Even though we have not done
any formal field training with Lucy, she is crazy about retrieving.
We could throw a bumper into the river many, many times every
night, and Lucy would retrieve it until she could no longer stay
afloat. She is a wonderful dog, who passed on her great qualities
to her get. Lucy also has one of those "perfect" curly
coats that requires very minimal grooming. She always has a perfect,
tight coat.
Lucy will always be the most
special in my heart. After whelping three litters, she is now
spayed and retired from the whelping box. SHE would like to pursue
field titles now. I hope we can help her achieve that goal!!!!
