Ralph is our foundation sire. He was acquired by my husband to be his personal hunting companion. After some slight begging, he allowed me to show Ralph in conformation. He easily attained his AKC and UKC Conformation championships.

We are most proud of Ralph for his natural retrieving desire and instinct. He has been hunted by Kevin since a couple months of age. His retrieving abilities, of both feather and fur, are phenomenal. Ralph does not hesitate to pick up a rabbit and deliver it after his beagle buddy flushes it. He works so well with his nose, and NEVER has a problem finding the bird and/or rabbit he was sent to retrieve.

Ralph earned his NAHRA Started Retriever title by going four for four to earn that title. He also earned his AKC Junior Hunter title with the same ease. Ralph is a very patient dog who allowed me to learn field work, with him as my "victim." He has a wonderful temperament, and is easily trainable.

Our future goals for Ralph include a Companion Dog title, and an agility title. Look for Ralph to "perform" at the 2004 National Specialty in Carlisle, PA.
