Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers-
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours-
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!
May the rains sweep gentle across your fields,
May the sun warm the land,
May every good seed you have planted bear fruit,
And late summer find you standing in fields of
plenty.
May you work like you don't need the money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
and Dance like no one is watching.
May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
May the clarity of light be yours,
May the fluency of the ocean be yours,
May the protection of the ancestors be yours
God bless the corners of this house and all the
lintel blessed,
And bless the hearth and bless the board and bless
each place of rest,
And bless each door that opens wide to strangers as
to kin,
And bless each crystal window pane that lets the
starlight in,
And bless the rooftree overhead and every sturdy
wall.
The peace of man. The peace of God. With peace and
love for all.
Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.
Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.
But never forget to remember
Those that have stuck by you.
Always remember to forget
The troubles that passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.
