| While the jurors sit in judgment They listen closely to 'the men in gray.' In them they place their utmost respect Never questioning the words they say. Then the prosecutor 'paints his picture' Of how terrible this man must be With careful strokes of his talented brush He shades the truth so none can see. For the conviction is all that matters And they will achieve this -- in any way. They will even commit crime themselves Just to lock a good man away. They are not concerned that he has children. They don't care that he has a wife. For he was 'man enough' to challenge them So, they now intend -- to take his life. He was 'man enough' to face their power And for his kind -- they have no use He has questioned their authority And now he must suffer their abuse. Although 'strong men' built this nation With their sweat, their lives, their tears It now favors the weak and heartless And those afraid to face their fears. Now the leaders of this nation Need only those -- they can 'manipulate' For they now say 'We are the power' And it is us that holds your fate. They now control the justice system Now, even the judges, they also rule And the once great phrase 'you have the right' Is only to mislead -- a total fool. Even the 'strongest men' are powerless Against this monster that's now unleashed And it's time the 'average man' must pray to God For only God can "kill the beast." |
