| I was once a happy man Carefree and loving life. I had my beautiful daughters And one very lovely wife. But traveling down this road of life I made one fatal turn And all I had is lost forever Never, no more, will it return. My friends no longer remember me. My wife found someone new. And you realize that what you thought you had Was only life deceiving you. I now live in a concrete city. I live my life inside a cell With nothing left but heartache That makes my life a living hell. All I have left of life are memories And they fill my heart with pain. You loose all hope for tomorrow And it slowly drives you insane. You try to forget the life you had Beyond all this razor wire. But your dreams at night are torment Like Hell's never ending fire. I have nothing left in life. I no longer have a home. It seems to me that no one cares And I'll forever be alone. So I get in my bunk at night And while I'm wishing she was there. Through trembling lips I pray to God To answer one last prayer. Dear Lord, I'm so tired and weary And it hurts so being all alone, So if you can find me worthy, Lord Send an angel to bring me home. |
