| Calligraphy and illumination are some of my favorite activities in the SCA. They give me a reason to do historical research as well as keep my drawing fingers nimble! My philosophy on materials, however, is not so "period" yet!...I use Bristol and watercolor board, watercolor goache paints AND acrylics, markers where appropriate to get the "look" I want, whatever it takes to get "there".
