"Song" for His Excellency, Ulrich Drachendonner
by Lady Dearbforgaill an Chomhaidh

Somehow, this piece ended up being the new Baron`s Investiture scroll...a complete surprise to Lady Dearbforgaill and myself!  Anyway...

The design based on an illustration found in a magazine, depicting Norse legends of creation and mythology...quite fitting for a 10th C Dane!

LORD Ulrich`s arms appear at top center; as Baron he uses the Barony arms during his "term in office"

Lady Dearbforgaill wrote the words to this (so I can`t take credit for those!)

And, again, unfortunately, metallic gold accents do not show up in this photo, but the dragon below and throughout the illustration are lined with metallic gold-leaf pen...

Goache, ink, metallic gold-leaf pen, and paint washes

"apology" scroll

For my sister; who didn`t get a Christmas gift in time for the annual shipping-out-of-state rush at Christmas time!

Wordsmith-extraordinaire Lord Eirik Haarfager Goransson provided the text for this project; illumination by myself.

Gold metallic pen, colored markers, colored pencil, and Speedball ink!

This was fun, and created in record time (as time was of the essence!)
And I now know who to go to for quick wording problems...

And I STILL haven`t sent my sister her Christmas present!  Maybe THIS year...
