For all you Nez-Heads!
Mike has always been one of my favorite musicians. His songs Have a slightly country/western feel too them without being so over powering that I feel like I am stuck in the middle of a prairie with nothing to do but churn butter.

Magnolia Simms: a song featured on the "Birds The Bees And The Monkees" album. Written by Mike, it is an experimental song in the style of a 1920's fashion. The song is even fixed to sound like it is being played on an old phonograph, so when the song starts skipping, don't worry, it is not your radio.
You Just May Be The One: This song is featured on "Headquarters" and is one of my big favorites. With a bit of country twang, it is fun and provides a wonderful dance beat. This song has been featured on many Monkee Episodes.
If I Ever Get To Saginaw Again: can be found on "missing links volume 2." Another country style tune. Davy Jones also preformed the song, only with a more campfire style to it. And Though Davy is my favorite Monkee, Mike's version of the song is the better of the two.
Writing Wrongs: Another 'birds and the bees' track. It is very experimental and abstract with an interesting instrumental middle.

Mike Nesmith was born on December 30, 1942 as Robert Michael Nesmith. His parents were Warren A. Nesmith and Bette Claire McMurray.
He was married to Phyllis Ann Barbour for most of his Monkee career but then he divorced and remarried to Kathryn Marie Bild.
He has four children and during the 1997 Monkees tour in the UK, he had one of his sons bands perform.
