| Neither of us are happy in strictly monogamous relationships. Perhaps it is mostly an issue trust. If our SO can't accept that we love her if we check out another girls ass, that seems a bit high school. I can watch my wife have sex with another man or woman and I derive huge pleasure from seeing her ectasy (sp?). She feels the same about me. The primary difference is that she doesn't want me to have outside girlfriends such as is common in poly. I wouldn't mind her seeing someone else, because I believe she does and still will love me. Take the love you have for your children example. I love my kids with my whole heart; I also love several of my nieces and nephews and have gone far beyond the call to support them when I can. My kids don't feel any less loved by me. They aren't 'jealous' of my loving their cousins as I do my own children. They are happy that I do, it shows my 'capacity' to love. I believe the relationship between adults should be as accepting as this. |
