Land Use
Although no known written history
describes the exact land use of the La Copita, local accounts
suggest it was used primarily for livestock (cattle)
grazing. Currently, there is a small cattle and goat herd
used for research and extension purposes. In the 1980s and
1990s, various brush management practices (mechanical and
herbicidal) were implemented
