There are on site housing, conference and lab facilities at the La Copita Research Area. An air conditioned bunkhouse which can host up to 16 people is equipped with kitchen and showers, TV and telephone. A BBQ pit is always available for evening cook-outs.

The laboratory has map resources, refrigerators, a photocopier, computers, drying ovens, a hood and bench tops which may be adapted for sample analysis and processing. Several rooms are available for short-term sample storage. A solar powered weather station is equipped with sensors to measure air temperature, RH, wind speed and direction, soil temperature, precipitation, and solar radiation.
