The Victorian Era was the period from 1839 to 1901 when Queen Victoria reigned in England. It was a time of tea parties and elegant balls.

In Victorian times, a lady would wear lawn dresses with petticoats and bloomers. She usually wore gloves, a hat and carried a parasol.

In the evening she wore jewels, flowers or combs in her hair and always carried a fan. Her evening gowns were made of silks, satins, brocades or velvets and were decorated with ribbons, beads, lace or tassels. Pure Victorian elegance.

My favorite movie has always been "Somewhere In Time" with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Everytime I watch it I feel as if I'm the one going back in time. But since that's not possible, I guess we'll have to settle for the next best thing.
