The Victorian Era was a time of strict moral discipline and hard work. Religion played a major role in peoples lives. They believed their faith in God made them prosper, both spirtually and financially.

The Victorian Era is credited with producing some of the world's best literary writers in history. Poetry reading was considered very fashionable. Well known writers were constantly in demand at social gatherings, and those that were fortunate enough to have the pleasure of their company were the envy of all.

The Victorian Era is also credited with giving us some of the finest architectural designs ever. Victorian homes often sported towers, bay windows, stained glass, balconies and some even had wrap-around porches. The Victorian lady took pride in her home and it showed.

But above all this stood the Victorian lady, always dressed in her finest. Whether taking strolls along the beach or gliding across a ballroom dance floor, she was always a sight to behold!
