I went to book my flights at Qantus and they told me there were no flights from New Zealand to Argentina until April 2002. They said it's because people are going via South America rather than the USA because of the terrorist attacks. So Instead of South America (which I didn't really leave myself enough time to see anyway) I'm going to Vancouver, in Canada, for 5 days instead. It means I get longer in NZ and I don't have to worry about Malaria business. And after all, South America will be there for me to discover in the future.
