| Why oh Why oh Why?
Zepplin, the people that brought Kenny Dalglish Soccer Manager to the speccy, decided to follow up that decent game, with this, a cheap rehash of what they had done with that one, yet somehow they seemed to miss the point, and simplified it even more. |
| K.D.S.M was a simple game, basically it followed the route led by the original Football Manager, then added some nice graphics to the procedings, whilst not a mind blowing game by any means, it was still good, So how they could follow it up with this ill never understand.
The graphical interface has been simplified to one screen of options, which again are simply buy,sell and pick team, really that is it. |
| he game is a lot faster than the earlier game, and really doesnt have any tense moments to keep it from boring you sensless.
How they could release this in 1992 ill never know, when there were so many good games being developed im sure they could have done better, and what was Graeme Souness doing when he agreed to have his name put towards this. |
| The matches themselves follow the same route as in the previous Kenny Dalglish game, where basically you have a screen with a timer going up, if there is any action the game kicks into an animated cutscene showing the 'Action', well thats all well and good, but this game only seems to have two maybe three different animated goal scenes, so this very soon becomes boring. |
| Really by the time you've played three or four matches you will be bored, there just isnt enough to do, you can swap your team around but thats about it. |
| Such a shame they couldnt use some of the great management games of the day as an influence, with some fresh ideas these games could have been true classics, unfortunately they just messed it up big time.
But is it the worst football manager game? Nope, in fact that title will be held by zepplin agin, with their next game after this 'Match Of The Day' |
