Structure and logistics of the work camps:

The camp mediator.
In the work camps there is a key figure, called the camp mediator. The camp mediator is part of the group of volunteers, and must be in charge of interfering between the volunteers and the community when there is a problem or simply a necessity of any type. The camp mediator must also be in charge of organizing the work camp committees

The work camp committees
Each work camp should have a committee as follows: kitchen committee, health committee, and recreations committee and XXX. Each committee is in charge of specific duties, for instance the health committee have to look after the sanity conditions of the camp, and the kitchen committee would be in charge of the cooking and cleaning of the kitchen.

Evaluation
An evaluation on the general conditions of the camp is held periodically. For this purpose, one of the KVDA members has to visit the camp at the beginning, middle and end of the camp, to check how the work is going and evaluate the general aspects of the camp, as health, (convivencia) and XXX and XXX
At the end of the camp volunteers will be given a format to evaluate the camp themselves.

Application:

·         Should be received at least one month in advance, for conventional purposes.

Arrival in the Country:

·         Before the orientation date. Volunteers may be met at the Airport subject to provision of full flight details. KVDA to guide on suitable accommodation.

Accommodation and meals at the project:

·         KVDA provides for what is locally available and Volunteers prepare their own meals in turns

·         Volunteers accommodated in classrooms or a house provided by the host Community.

Insurance, Health and Visa:

·         Arranged by the Volunteer.

What to Bring:

·         Eating Utensils, bedding, mosquito net and personal effects.

CONFIRMATION DEADLINE

All confirmations must be done a month before a specific project.

We request for the full names and passport numbers of the volunteers and 3- passport sized photographs with your application.
