Here are some suggestions to make things better during races. 1. If someone is obviously much faster than you, move over and let them by. I'm sure you would want them to do the same if you were in thier position. 2. If you are warping, please chose an alternate line, out of the way of others, until the problem ceases. DO NOT STOP ON THE TRACK because when your warp ceases you will be parked in front of your fellow competitors and cause a wreck. 3. When you take the caution, feel free to race back to the line, but don't slam on the brakes as soon as you cross the line. Drift onto the back straight, slowing down gradually. Pass the pace car and once on the backstretch pull onto the apron and gradually come to a stop. Wait for the pace car to pass you and then take your position in line. 4. The leader has no obligation to let lappers have thier laps back when racing back to caution. It is the leaders choice and if he gives you your lap back, it is out of courteousy. 5. RESTARTS---There will be NO jumping a restart. All cars must maintain the pace speed until the green flag is displayed. The league admin will remind everyone of the speed throughout the caution period. At certain tracks a different acceleration point may be used. The league admin will inform all drivers in advance of the event if this is the case. Also, if you are a lap down you DO NOT control the start, the leader of the race does, there will be no jumping out ahead of the leader. The penalty for jumping a start will be one lap at the end of the race, or a Stop and Go Penalty during the race 6. PROVISIONALS---Every driver will be given 4 provisional finishes for each half of the series. These 4 provisionals are used for the first 4 races you miss, even if you make the Monday night practice event. After these 4 provisionals are used, a driver can earn a provisional for an event by driving at least one lap at the Monday night practice race for that particular event. These provisionals cannot be saved and carried over to a different event, they must be used at the event a driver practiced for. 7. Pitting Regulations. 8. Penalties and Infractions 9. All drivers must use their assigned car and number for the race to avoid any confusion. If you have a question on how to change your car to use in the race, please contact the league admin in advance and he will help you. |
