Penalties for Reckless Driving and other General Rules
back
There will be NO RECKLESS DRIVING tolerated, no "first lap winners", and no parking on the track after an incident.
Below is a list of the penalties that will be handed out for unsafe driving.  The league admin will make the decisions and his decision is FINAL.  However, no penalty will be given until the admin interviews all drivers involved and makes a determination of what happened.
The admin will review every driver at random, you will not always be watched but you may be so drive like you are under review at all times.  YOU CAN BE PENALISED EVEN IF A DRIVER DOES NOT REPORT AN INCIDENT.  Also, please contact the league admin if you are involved in an accident you feel was caused by reckless driving or if you see someone who is driving dangerously.
Before contacting the admin over an incident you feel was caused by a reckless driver, save and look at the replay and be honest with yourself.  The penalties below will also apply to a driver who continually complains but never has any real proof of wrong by another driver.
The penalties will be as follows
First Infraction---Written warning by the league admin
Second Infraction---75 point penalty in the overall point standings
Third Infraction---150 Point Penalty and a one race suspension.  This suspension will be for BOTH the points race AND the practice event.
Fourth Infraction---Dismissal from the league
"First Lap Winners"---Defined as a driver who continually pushes too hard on cold tires---These drivers who cause problems will be given a 50 point penalty for every occurence.  This rule applies to the first 2 or 3 laps at the start of the race as well as the first 2 or 3 laps after any restart.

Any driver caught parking on the track and wrecking another car will result in all points for the season being taken away and immediate dismissal from the league.

Everything listed above falls into the category of commom sense.  Please use your head, don't drive above your ability, and don't get yourself into a situation you cannot get back out of.  If you do these few simple things, your results will be better, and you will not have to worry about being penalised for dangerous driving.
