"Arfour, can you boost the power?" - Obi-Wan Kenobi, AotC |
R4-P17 Type: Modified R4-P astromech droid Manufacturer: Industrial Automaton Designation: Navigator Affiliation: Jedi Order Weapons: None Debut: Attack of the Clones Being a truncated droid repaired after a trash compactor accident, then permenantly fixed into a Jedi Starfighter didn't seem to bother this resourceful little droid; R4-P17 was always willing to help her Jedi masters. Arfour started life as a traditional R4-P astromech, but was rebuilt by Anakin Skywalker after an incident in a trash compactor on her homeplanet, Gyndine. Gone was her conical head, replaced by a red R2-series dome. Arfour later became a permenant fixture of the Jedi Starfighter piloted by Obi-Wan Kenobi; the hull of the starfighter was too thin to hold a complete astromech, so Arfour was integrated into the ship. She was the ship's navigator, technician and communication specialist. After Obi-Wan visited Kamino in his Jedi Starfighter, he and Arfour tracked the bounty hunter Jango Fett to Geonosis, whereupon Kenobi was captured. Arfour's fate is unknown; rumours sugest she was attacked by some of the planet's many predators, though during the confusion of the Clone Wars, the little droid was quickly forgotten. |
