Being my favorite Monkee, I never expected him to send me an autograph back. So all you ladies and/or gents out there who have not received an autograph from Peter, never give up because maybe someday you'll get your surprise too :)*

Most Monkee fans know that Peter Tork was the one who played the 'dumb' Monkee but to me the character was never really dumb...his character was funny and made the 'dumbness' a great reason to watch the show; for the laughs. Peter's character was always picked on, but Peter never seemed to mind.
Peter, I believe, is much smarter than they give him credit for. The man can play multiple instruments. He kind of reminds me of my dad and his siblings (my dad's family played folk music, gospel music and blues music growing up and they could play multiple instruments like Peter). Peter can play instruments like the banjo, the piano, any kind of guitar you give him--from accoustic to bass--and much more I imagine. Some say that Peter can't sing...I say he can. He's got his own sound and his own unique voice; which to me makes his music worth listening to. I like his rendition of "Daydream Believer" when sung/played with James Lee Stanley. He produces a sound like he's having fun with what he does and that makes it all worth while.
