Micky was raised in a 'Hollywood' family. His father, George Dolenz, was in a lot of movies so the 'star' life was not anything new to Micky. When Micky was 10 years of age, he landed the role of 'Corky' in the TV series "Circus Boy."
I am no expert on Micky's family so I will not try to fill in the gap between his 'Circus Boy' days and his Monkee days. I will, however say, that it is Micky's dedication that brought him around to where he is today.
From what I gather, Micky did not really read the 'Want' ad in the magazine. His agent gave him the word that they were looking for four 'insane' boys that could act and sing. Micky went and tried out for the part and the rest is history.

I have a lot more to write about Micky but I will stop here and come back here with more. If you are a Micky Dolenz fan and would like to write a little article for me about him and his life, I would love to hear from you. Just click on my name: Krista I will make sure you get full credit for your article on Micky. I, however, will place my own pictures in unless you have some really cool pics to add in for me. Then I will add your pics in (with your name credited of course).
