Today is usually a busy day for me at work since it's college football time but for some odd reason, it is very slow. Hopefully, tomorrow will be busier.

My Thanksgiving was pretty uneventful. No turkey for this guy. Instead, roaasted chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce which we actually never ate since no one opened the can. LOL, only the freshest stuff for us and apple pie for dessert(the pie that I had cooked a few days before).

It was a small thing. I had invited a couple of people but none made it and all had a good excuse. It ended up being just Dan, Patricia, and I. I went to bed very late that night. Was playing poker til 6am and the next day, Patricia's uncle and sister came over for dinner. Of course, I cooked. We had sweet and sour pork on the menu with cucumber slad(recipe from my mom), stir fried vegetables, rice, apple toffe for dessert. Good stuff but tiring.

Today is a cloudy day. Yet, I got an e-mail from Helen saying that she was back in CR. Will have to meet her with her sometimes. I wonder how long she will be here for. Oh yeah, Atlanta is now 8-2 and are playing the New Orleans Saints Sunday at 4:05pm Eastern. The line makers are beginning to have more faith with the Falcons.

Atlanta Falcons -9 Under 46 1/2 ML -600

Well still alive after the earthquake. It happened Saturday early in the morning not exactly sure what time but I know it was dark. According to this website, http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqinthenews/2004/usrban/, it was a 6.2 on the Richter scale. It did kill 8 people and destroyed hundreds of homes. The earthquake happened during the Ibero-American summit and the King and Queen of Spain were even here during that time. NO worries, I am fine and it did a bit of damage to my house but it wasn't as bad as I originally thought. A few things were broken but nothing major. Would have written about it yesterday but the night before, didn't get a lot of sleep so I was too tired to write about it. Hopefully the aftershock won't be as bad.

In other news, The Atlanta Falcons are playing against the New York Giants today. Will the Falcons win and become 8-2? We shall see. Game starts at 4:25pm Eastern Time. Here is the line:

Atlanta Falcons -3 Over 40 ML -150
New York Giants +3 Under 40 ML +130

Well Atlanta did it again and won there game!!!! The line had actually changed from -4 to -3 1/2 but in my case didnt matter since I just want them to win. It was a pretty busy day at work today and now, I'm just waiting for the buffalo Bills and New England Patriots game to go off. game time is 8:45pm Eastern time for those interested.

My parents aren't able to come down and visit for Christmas which is really too bad since they will miss out on the Festival of lights" but they did say they would try to make it for my birthday in March.

Saturday is college football day at work. It's suppose to be a busy day but the sportsbook business has become so saturated in new sportsbook that business is slower then usual. However, our company is still in business due to diversification.

In other news, the new roommate is working out fine. The rainy season/winter is over or will officially be over in 2 days. Thank goodness because I was getting tired of walking in the rain all day long. Obviously, they do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Costa Rica but they are enough Americans to find a place where an American can celebrate that holiday. However, I'm thinking that this year, I will celebrate this holiday either at home or at a friend's house. The ingredients and the food are pretty easy to find in Costa Rica thus, it will be Thanksgiving as usual.

I was looking through a calender yesterday looking at the Costa Rican holdiays. I was browsing through the month of March and guess what? March 19 is a special day for the City of San Jose. Which is great considering that March 19 is my birthday and one of my middle name is Joseph after Saint Joseph. Well, St. Joseph is the patron saint of San Jose. Ok, maybe that is not interesting for everyone but still...

Oh and here is Sunday's football line on the Atlanta falcons for all of you Falcons fans. They are 6-2. A great start!!!

Tampa Bay Bucaneers +4 Over 40 1/2 ML +160
Atlanta Falcons -4 Under 40 1/2 ML -190
