11:45am

I woke up fairly early this morning. It was around 5:45am when the sound of a lawnmower broke the morning silence. Dazed and confused, my head rose up from its comfortable nesting place and I saw that the sun was rising as well.

Yes, I was upset because the night before, I ended up going out for a few drinks witg some friends and would have liked to get a few more hours of sleep but the noise was too loud to go back to sleep. Thus, I ended up taking advantage of the sun rising to take a few pictures.

It was actually a very nice morning. The moon was still up in the sky and as I was looking for more kodak moments, I noticed that a plant was growing in the outside wall of the place I call home. What an unusual sight.

I took a few shots of my neighborhood and I realized that I didn't have any coffee left. The lawnmower man was done and I decided to go back to bed. I'm too old to get up this early anyway.

I awoke once more but I am still too lazy to go out and buy some coffee. Pretty lazy considering that the pulperia is only 100 meters or so away frommy house.

I talked to Angela on the phone last nigt and it was awesome hearing from her. We had a good time laughing about everything and nothing and it was just what I needed. I also got an e-mail from Money this morning before I went back to bed just to let her know that I am still alive and it was a bit surprising that she answered my e-mail so fast.

And then you start wondering about her e-mail and what it really meant. I mean she writes, she seems like she is just writing to me about what she is doing but the tone she has as she writes to me is a bit, how would you say, revengeful in a manner that will make me jealous. Maybe I am just reading too much into it.

Currently listening to Shakira. The title of the song is, "Underneath your wing". I am eager and in a hurry for my plans to go in affect. I am fairly certain of the welcome I will get back.

After being gone for so long, I know who my true friends are out there. I know the ones who care and the ones who do not. Is the ball in my court? It is currently raining outside but the birds are still singing outside of my window. U2 is now playing, "Beautiful day".

I am afraid of what is to come but it is what I want. What will happen then? What will happen now? I wonder and that is what life is all about. It is about going into the unknown knowing nothing. Thinking about what may happen and what may not happen even though you know that the future is blank and that anything goes. Why am I so curious about what is on the other side of the hill?

I have an idea of what will happen when I go to the other side. It will be difficult without a doubt. I know some of the hardship that I will have to endure yet I am more then willing to go through with it.

Sopa came over last night to try and finish watching the anime serie, "Trigun". I was not quite able to finish it for during the last DVDof the serie, I could no longer stay up and went to bed. He ended up spending the night on the couch.

Got an e-mail from Angela today. Always a pleasure to hear from her and another reason why I am so eager. My right eye hurts terribly this morning. I am not getting any younger and my lifestyle is starting to catch up to my body. The damage is done and I am ready to start the healing process. "Duvet" is now playing and I am off.

11:40am

Today is an incredibly hot day. I woke up this morning because I could not stand the heat in my room. It looks like it will be a great day.

Last night, I went to get my grill back from the 4th of July party that took place at Meg and Brian's place. Since I was not able to make it to there place until after 10pm, I had to meet them at this bar/restaurant called Rios. They were there waiting with a bunch of other people and to be polite, I had a few drinks with them. In the end, I made it home sometimes after 1am.

As I was making my way home, I began to hear this loud music coming from down the street. It looked like someone was having a little fiesta I thought to myself. However, the closer I got to my house, the louder it got and it was then that I realised the music was coming from my house.

I got home and all was dark yet, people were home. That is all I need to say about the matter. Yes, living in Costa Rica is quite an adventure.

1:10am

Last night I went to Sopa's house to have an anime night. Goodness, it certainly has been a while since I geeked out with someone who likes to geek out like I do every once in a while. Movies of the night were, "Trigun". That's right the whole series. However, we didn't get to finish the serie since I began to fall asleep around 2:30am. Must have been the alcohol.

Karen L. also called me today. She wanted to know whether I was going to be able to make it to her wedding in July. I certainly wish that I could make it but I am in Costa Rica and have no intention of returning to the U.S. until next year. I wish them all the best of luck.

Funny how all of my friends from college are slowly starting to drop like flies in the marriage game. We were all in the same graduating class. Yes, the class of 1996 and out of all of the people I hung out with and still keep in touch with, there are only four of us left and that includes me!!! I know that we will be thirty years old next year and that our parents keep asking us when we will find someone that we would consider marrying but I just don't feel ready yet. Why? I have not found the person that is compatible with my crazy attitude and my spirit of adventure.

I ask you, is it me and the lifestyle that I lead? The carefree lifestyle that I enjoy so much and the total lack of responsibilities? The lifestyle where I always want to see what is on the other side of the hill? Or is it perhaps because I just haven't found someone who shares my sense of adventure? Anyway, I certainly have no intention of finding anyone at the moment. At least, not until I get back to the U.S. for anybody who would fall for me at the moment must be a total nut. Quite true for I am presently so irresponsible I am sure that it is against the law somewhere.

I am also including some more pictures from the 4th of July party courtesy of Meg and Brian. They are from Atlanta and I had to drive over 3000 miles to met them. Pretty crazy stuff eh?

To start this little photo album, here is a nice group picture.

In theory, Kris should be over the Atlantic Ocean right now. He was actually suppose to leave yesterday but due to some unforseen circumstances he was not able to catch a flight back. Well, yes and no. It is actually a pretty complicated story. I will not go into details because I hate story but he wasn't suppose to leave until today. yet, due to some shit that happened at the party on Sunday, well he decided to leave on Monday. Nothing to do with him and I getting in a fight though. We are cool.

You see, Sunday we celebrated Karen's birthday. I am not going to say too much about it but I can say that I personaly had a good time. Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what it was like at the party.

I am really not sure what the cake thing in the face is but I'm going to assune that it is a Peruvian custom.

On Monday, someone called me to ask me if Kris was at my house because he certainly was not at her house. I said no that he wasn't there and the asssumption was that he had decided to return to Atlanta early due to the shitty incident that happened the night before. I made a mental note to write Kris an e-mail later in the day to find out what is going on and thought nothing more of it.

I as chilling at home when around 1-2pm the phone rang and a man was asking for directions to my house. I was a bit confused for the man was a complete stranger but after a bit of talking I realized that he was a taxi driver and was bringing someone to my house. Who? I had no idea for I was pretty sure I hadn't arranged for anyone to come over.

Yes, it was Kris. He arrived and after he got settled in we decided to go run amock in downtown San Jose. Since I thoguht he might be feeling a bit down, I decided to take him on a tour of the nasty side of San Jose. You know, by taking him in all of the rat hole bars of San Jose.

LOL, I think that he migt have been a bit skeptical at first but he started to loosen up once all of the mud dogs that usualy hang out at these places came over to meet the "gringo". They were actually quite nice people and we were gonf for most of the day and night. However, we did do some walking around as well. He he he, in between bars!!!

Today, he was ready to go home. At least more or less. Unfortunately, two things were forgotten. One, Kris left the DVD he had just bought in my PC. Two, he forgot to take along the widget I gave to him to give to someone else in Atlanta. This sucks.

I am drunk right now. Just came back from some girl's birthday party adn I saw the most awful thing in the world. Well two actually. First off I hooked up with this girl that had a boyfriend of some type and I feel awful about betrayal. I know what it's like to be cheated on and I can never forget that moment for it is etched permemantly in my mind. That is why I will be the gentleman and not hook up with her later like she wants us to.

Second, I saw one of my friend with my other friend's girl. I am torn in half for she knows that I saw them but what is a man suppose to do when the friendship of two friends is at stake.

On another note. some things are better then you think them to be. The problem is that due to some unforseen circumstances. I am a wall and even when I try to let it go with someone I am interested in, the wall will not go down. Suggestions please?

It felt good to cut loose last night. It had been a while since I last went out and enjoyed myself like that. Not really a lot to write but here are a few pics that were taken. More will come later as son as I get in touch with the other people with that also had camera that night.

I also finally got a haircut yesterday. Funny how the simple things in life just make you feel better. Especially when people comment on how nice the haircut looks. I had been putting it off for a while afraid that my haircut would turn out a mess like last time but after people constantly commenting on how shaggy I am becoming, I had to get one.

This time though, the haircut turned out quite well. It must be a sign that my Spanish is improving for my hair stylist was able to follow the directions to a T.

Unfortunately, we had no fireworks because no one was able to get any on time but it made no difference for we still had a great time.

Just people

It rained almost the whole night but it was no problem for we would never let a little rain bother us from doing our thing.

Krazy Kris
Karen from Peru

I did end up leaving the party early though. For some odd reason it was only like 1am and I was beginning to feel tired. Does this mean I'm getting old or just not used to partying anymore?

Megan the trash lady
Matt, Kris and Jordan

On another note, I am having a really bad ant problem in my house. How annoying for it does not matter how often I clean the house, it's just a losing battle. It looks like I'm gonna have to take out the big guns and use chemicals to get rid of them.

I think I'm just gonna chill tonight. Hum, nevermind, I just remembered that I'm suppose to go to this Doc's barbecue because he just bought a lot of meat and he wants to get rid of it. It's hard being me sometimes.

Happy 4th of July Everyone

Another 4th of July being celebrated in Costa Rica. However, I am stil celebrating it as an American for I am bound to go to this BBQ at 9pm with Sopa to do some good old fashion 4th of July celebration. I am not sure whether we will have fireworks or not since it will be a barbecue at a friends house but they said they would look for it at some Chinese stores. For some odd eason, it looks like you can only have fireworks if you know someone who knows someone.

Not sure if Kris will be coming or not. I mean he is suppose to but I did not see him at all yesterday ever since he shacked up at this girl's house.

Hum, need to go to the store to get some party favors.

Later all

I guess I was wrong. Kris wasn't suppose to come today. He actually came yesterday. I have been in a very bad mood lately with people. Not Kris mind for I do enjoy his company even though he is again MIA with you know who but I thinkthat my patience is at an end. I am not sure why I am impatient and just don't care to mingle with people and be nice but I seem to be a dick to people without really realizing it until it is too late. However, I do not even feel bad about it because everyone just annoys me.

Kris from Atlanta

Is this a sign for something?

I can't believe it is already July. It was actually cool when I woke up this morning and as I shivered over a cup of coffee this morning, I was thinking about how hot it is right now in Atlanta.

Found out today that Kris will be coming down on July 3rd to celebrate the 4th of July in Costa Rica. LOL, what an odd place to celebrate the American Independence day. Especially since they do not celebrate it in Costa Rica but I know that he has other reasons for coming here. Hum, I need to call him to find out when his flight will arrive.

They are having a party at the American Embassy in Costa Rica for the 4th of July however, Ido not think that I will go because it will be held early inthe morning. From 8am to noon to be exact. I mean, I usually wake up around 10am so by the time I get there it will be almost over.

Lately I have been doing a lot of work on the business website and it is a pain in the butt translating the website into French and Spanish. Especially since my grammar in either language leaves a lot to be desired. So if any of you out there is fluent in French or Spanish go to my website and tell me what mistakes I have made in either languages. Here is the URL:

www.tiggronmedia.com

I also have a lot of work to do on that website because I held a travel story contest where the best story would win a trip to Costa Rica for two and well, I have all of the stories and the winning story has been picked however, I still have to put the story up for the website and everything else that goes with the contest. I am late with it since the winner was suppose to be posted on June 30th and well, it's not there yet. Oops!!!
