Night Blindness :

The cause of night bindness is Vitamin A deficiency. Mostly children less than 5yrs of age are affected due to malnutrition. The black portion of the eye (cornea) becomes white.

Treatment is by high doses of vitamin A is given to the patient and high protein diet is recommended.
