| Effects of Global Warming | ||||||||||||||
| Many people believe that the actions of humans cannot have a serious impact on the world. However, there is much evidence to prove that humans can and already have made huge changes to the earths atmosphere, climate, weather patterns and oceans. The earths atmosphere is so thin that people have changed the concentration of some of its basic molecular components with all of the greenhouse gas emissions. The global average temperature has increased almost 1F. The world has seen an increased number of climate extremes intense rain and snow, stronger hurricanes, unseasonable/prolonged droughts, heat waves and flooding. (The Heat is On by Ross Gelbspan.) The sea level worldwide has risen 10-25 cm, and the carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is getting into the ocean in a form that will make the ocean more acidic. [It Could Get a Lot Warmer (GLOBAL WARMING)".
