I
had the privilege of hanging out with Altered before their set at the
Curtain Club. They are a fun group, close as brothers, constantly
giving each other shit, laughing and having a great time. There is also
a serious side to this band with a determination of a well oiled
machine. When they hit the stage you see them at their very best,
getting the crowd into the show. Great songs and strong musical talent.
This is some of what they had to say: Kore- How do you feel about the Dallas rock scene? Altered- Its on fire, like Seattle in the 90’s. If people and the record companies don’t see it, look at all the bands that have been signed this year. Kore- What do you think of the press: there seems to be a lot of bad press. Altered- There’s no such thing as bad press. When you are a band, especially a local band, any press is appreciated. Kore- You guys have all been in different local bands at one time or another. Does the mixture you have now work, are you happy with everything. Altered- We are like brothers, we work through the shit. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
