had the pleasure to sit down and talk with a couple of members of the
band Craive recently before their show at Trees. This is a little of
what they had to say: |

| Kore- Have you been together long? Bryce (vox)- No, not long. This version of the band about 6 or 7 months. Kore- How long have you been doing the music scene in Dallas? Bryce- For about 4 or 5 years with a lot of different members. It took a while but we finally found the right sound when we got rid of our old guitarist and picked-up Shaun. Shaun (guitar)- They were looking for a harder edgier sound and I worked with the drummer, Josh. He asked me if I wanted to play and it took off from there. We rewrote a lot of the songs and made them stronger. Bryce- We finally found the members that make this work and have the sound that makes us stand out. Kore- What are some of your influences? Bryce- Tool, Alice in Chains, Sevendust, Mudvane Shaun- Led Zepplin, Faith No More, Tool. Kore- What is a quote that best describes you or one you like to use often? Bryce- “Work hard, don’t suck.” Shaun- "'sup slut." Craive is a fully loaded weapon ready to rip up the stage. Intense vocals, hard hitting drums and bass, and a shredding guitar. They are one of my picks as a band to look out for. If you haven’t been to a Craive show, you are missing out. |
