Kokkino Nero is located 50 Km from Larissa, the capital of Thessaly region, and 150 Km from Thessaloniki (Macedonia International Airport). The main access to Kokkino Nero is by taking the Tembi Valley exit of the National Highway (22 Km). Tembi is one of the most beautiful valleys (Click to see Photo) of our country and extends between the mountains Olympus and Kissavos.

In a short distance from the village (2-3 Km) you can find attractive and quiet coasts of the nearby small villages. Namely, on the North side there are Tsiligiorgos Bay and Platia Ammos. Furthermore, on the South you can visit Koutsoupia and Paliouria. All the above coasts are well known for their sandy beaches and the tasteful seafood served at many traditional Taverns.
